Brrrr!

This. week. was. COLD. Ask anyone from Boston. Actually, anyone from New England could tell you just how cold it's been this week. (Well, really, most locals would say something like, "Yeah, it's cold. It's New England. Whaddaya expect?!")

It was 3 degrees in the morning. Add in some wind, and it pretty much felt like tiny knives stabbing your skin. On my 20-minute walk from the train to the office, my legs went numb. Honest-to-goodness, numb. So numb that I wasn't sure I would make it to my office without collapsing. So numb that it gave me a panic attack. Let me tell you, having a panic attack in negative-degree wind chills at 8 a.m. in the middle of a wooded college campus -- while you can't feel your legs, mind you -- it's a lot of fun.

On the second day of our arctic weather, I wore two pairs of pants for my commute. There's using my noggin, right?

It's still much too cold outside, and the apartment is a bit chilly. Thankfully, I have a chubby dog to cuddle with on the couch. And it's much safer than an electric blanket when I doze off!

1. My dog
2. Weekends
3. A surprise offer for a ride to work from my favorite guy <3
