Yesterday's post was summa serious.
So I thought I'd switch it up today and be a little silly.
We got some snow this week!
But we didn't get nearly as much as I would have liked.
(E.g., not enough for me to stay home from work!)
I take the train from my Boston neighborhood to work out in the 'burbs,
In the snow, my commute was an adventure!
Not only did I have to dress for the elements, with snow and wind whipping my face,
but I had to prepare myself for the physical challenge of getting to work unscathed!
It was snowing to beat the band when I left for work.
Thankfully, I got to the train without much problem -- just some snow to the face.
No big deal.
But, while getting off the train, I remembered that the suburbs always get more snow than the city.
I noticed that there was much more snow on the ground.
I climbed the stairs from the train station to the street.
The sidewalks were SLIPPERY!
I mentioned to my pal, "There is a 75% chance that I am going to fall this morning."
Lo and behold -- not even five minutes later -- I was doing a split in the snow.
No damage was done, thank goodness.
Just a bit of embarrassment.
And you know what?
It happened again the NEXT morning!
Slip, slip, slippery - right across the sidewalk.
Darn you, black ice!
I may be clumsy in good weather,
but I'm a doggone mess in the snow.
Happy Winter!!
