Poor Memory

I got home from work yesterday, and a package had been delivered for me. It was a square box that said "Carolina Cookies."  

"Oh boy!" I said. "Who sent me cookies?! I wonder if it was my family in North Carolina..."

I quickly opened the box, pulled out the cookie tin, and pulled off the gift card...

... And realized it was from the car dealership that recently sold me a new car...

... And THEN I remembered that I thought the same thing back in 2010 when the same dealership sold me a car and then sent me the same cookies.

I was a little disappointed that I wasn't being surprised by my NC relatives... Or being doted upon by a secret admirer... Until I tried one of the cookies and remembered how delicious they are.
