Outsmarted

I got home tonight at 10:00pm, after working at an event. I let Finn outside, and then he ran right into his crate, assuming his "Waiting Patiently for Dinner" stance.

Crisp had sent me a message at 6:30pm, letting me know that he was going out with a friend for dinner. Since Finn normally has dinner at 7:30pm, and since he was acting so hungry, I figured that Crisp had not given the pup any food before going out.

I poured up a delicious bowl of kibble, and LITERALLY as soon as Finn finished licking the bowl clean, I got a text from Crisp saying that Finn had already eaten.

My dog either has extra-terrible short-term memory... Or he is the smartest and most manipulative little bugger that there ever was!!
