Relaxing in the Snow Cave

Thank you, wonderful New England winter, for giving me a free day off of work! There is absolutely nothing I have to do today, and that is deee-lightful!

I knew last night that today would be a snow day, so I didn't set my alarm. (I was super grateful for this because I didn't get home from a work event until after 10:30pm last night!) My brain woke up my body at 7:30am, when the sun usually starts to brighten the bedroom. This morning, though, the bedroom stayed so dark! Because we live in a basement-level apartment, our bedroom window is at the top of the ceiling and looks up to a small yard along the sidewalk in front of our building. By 7:30am this morning, snow covered most of the window, and now, a few hours later, there is absolutely no light coming in. It makes the small bedroom feel like a cave... Although, with the warm bed and cozy blankets, I guess it's more like a den. :)

Since Crisp works from home, he unfortunately doesn't get snow days. He has a conference call this morning, so I guess I have to retreat to my den.

And what better to do in a den during a winter storm?  Hibernate!

Zzzzz.
